Sharing files shouldn't feel like a gamble. You send a link and hope the right person opens it, nobody forwards it, and it doesn't sit on some server forever. Here are five things you can do right now to lock it down.

1. Password Protect Your Links

During upload, there's a password field. Type something in. That's it. Takes two seconds. Anyone who clicks the link gets a password prompt first. No password, no file. Simple.

2. One-Time Downloads

Toggle "one-time download" and the link dies after a single use. The first person to download gets the file. Everyone after that gets a dead link. This is perfect for contracts, passwords, or anything you don't want floating around.

3. Expiring Links

Set an expiry and the file deletes itself. No need to remember to go back and clean up. Free accounts get 7-day expiry. Paid plans go up to 30 days. After that, the file is gone. Actually gone — not hidden in a trash folder somewhere.

4. Every Upload Gets Scanned

We run ClamAV on every single file that comes through. Malware doesn't make it to the download page. If a file is flagged, it's quarantined immediately. You'll never accidentally share something infected.

5. Recipients Don't Need Accounts

The person you're sending to doesn't have to sign up, log in, or hand over their email. They click the link, maybe enter a password, and download. Less data collected means less data exposed. That's better for everyone.

All five of these features are free. No upgrade required. We think secure sharing should be the default, not a premium add-on.
